PAVEL BÜCHLER

The Answer to the Question

Pavel Büchler (artist and Research Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University) worked closely with the publisher to determine every detail of this title.

This small pocket-sized volume contains some very big ideas. ‘Ask questions, I have really no answers, and I am completely lost I can say, I'm more and more lost, really, I'm lost in my life, I'm lost in my work, I'm lost everywhere but the only thing we can do is to question, ask questions, but there are no answers.' - Christian Boltanski. This eco-sensitive model acknowledges that there is already enough material in the world and by working with extant material – by selecting and reframing – the artist is able to generate new meaning and, in doing so, disrupt the existing order of things.
